Job Overview

We are looking for a skilled Chemical Engineer to join our team in Kuwait. This role involves designing, developing, and optimizing chemical processes and equipment used in oil & gas and industrial process plants. The ideal candidate will focus on enhancing operational efficiency, ensuring safety compliance, reducing risks, and maintaining product quality at the highest standards. Collaboration with operations, maintenance, and project teams on new installations, plant upgrades, and problem-solving is essential.

Key Responsibilities

The Chemical Engineer will be responsible for:

• Designing and optimizing chemical processes for oil & gas and industrial facilities
• Preparing mass and energy balances, process flow diagrams (PFDs), and piping & instrumentation diagrams (P&IDs)
• Selecting and evaluating process equipment such as heat exchangers, pumps, reactors, separators, compressors, and distillation units
• Conducting hazard and operability studies (HAZOP/HAZID) and performing comprehensive risk assessments
• Ensuring compliance with relevant safety standards and industry regulations
• Monitoring plant performance and proposing improvements to enhance efficiency and safety
• Troubleshooting process and equipment issues promptly and effectively
• Supporting engineering projects through to commissioning and start-up phases
• Generating detailed technical reports and maintaining precise engineering documentation

Required Skills and Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Chemical Engineering or a related discipline
• Proven hands-on experience within oil & gas, petrochemical, or industrial process plants
• Strong expertise in chemical process design and system optimization techniques
• Thorough understanding of safety regulations including OSHA, API, NFPA, and ISO standards
• Ability to interpret and analyze engineering drawings and process diagrams
• Strong analytical thinking combined with excellent troubleshooting and communication skills
• Possession of a valid Kuwait driving license and owning a car is preferred

Additional Requirements

Candidates must hold a Transferable Visa 18 (Ahli) to be eligible for this position.
