Job Overview

We are seeking a skilled Quantity Surveyor with expertise in both Civil and MEP (Mechanical, Electrical, and Plumbing) disciplines to join our team in Kuwait. The successful candidate will play a vital role in preparing accurate quantity measurements, cost estimates, and tender documentation for contracting projects.

Key Responsibilities

The Quantity Surveyor will be responsible for measuring civil and MEP quantities from tender drawings and specifications. You will prepare detailed bills of quantities, cost breakdowns, and rate analyses in collaboration with discipline estimators. Identifying any scope gaps, drawing inconsistencies, and tender assumptions is also a crucial part of the role. Additionally, you will update quantities and pricing for tender revisions and manage pricing clarifications to ensure precision throughout the tendering process.

Required Skills and Qualifications

• A degree in Quantity Surveying, Civil Engineering, or a related discipline is essential.
• Proven experience in civil and MEP quantity measurement, drawing interpretation, rate analysis, and strong proficiency in Excel.
• Excellent written English communication skills.
• Competency in AutoCAD and digital quantity take-off tools is required. Experience with software such as Cost or Bluebeam is preferred.

Experience

Applicants should have a minimum of five years of experience in pre-contract quantity surveying or estimating for contracting projects involving civil and MEP works. Practical knowledge of quantity take-offs specific to these disciplines is mandatory. Experience with tendering procedures in Kuwait or the broader GCC region will be highly advantageous.
