Job Overview

We are seeking a skilled Civil / Structural Design Engineer to join our team in Kuwait. This role involves preparing detailed structural calculations, design documentation, and coordinated shop drawings for concrete, steel, and foundation work. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in structural engineering with hands-on experience supporting construction projects.

Key Responsibilities

The successful candidate will be responsible for:

• Developing structural designs and calculations for concrete, steel, and foundation components.
• Coordinating shop drawings with architectural, equipment, and building services layouts to resolve any interface issues.
• Preparing technical submissions, purchase specifications, and requests for information while evaluating technical offers from suppliers.
• Reviewing supplier drawings through the Supply Chain department and providing support for site queries and maintaining as-built records.

Required Skills and Qualifications

The candidate must possess the following qualifications and skills:

• A bachelor’s degree in civil or structural engineering.
• Proven experience in reinforced concrete and steel design, foundation design, structural load assessments, and familiarity with relevant project codes.
• Proficiency with AutoCAD and structural analysis software such as ETABS, SAFE, or STAAD.Pro.
• Experience with BIM coordination is preferred.
• Excellent technical English communication skills.

Experience Requirements

A minimum of 6 years’ hands-on experience in civil and structural design engineering, including technical office work. Experience in concrete and structural steel calculations, shop drawing coordination, and on-site construction support is essential.
