Job Overview

We are seeking a skilled Accountant with 3 to 5 years of practical experience in accounting. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in VAT compliance, tax return preparation, and hands-on use of the Odoo ERP system. This role is based in Kuwait and requires a detail-oriented professional who can handle a variety of accounting tasks efficiently within a team environment.

Key Responsibilities

The Accountant will be responsible for accurately recording daily accounting entries using the Odoo system, preparing VAT returns, and ensuring all tax obligations are met in a timely manner. Additional duties include performing bank reconciliations, matching accounts, tracking accounts receivable and payable, reviewing invoices, and supporting month-end closing activities. The role also involves assisting with any other accounting tasks assigned by the Financial Manager.

Required Skills and Experience

• 3 to 5 years of practical accounting experience.
• Solid knowledge of Value Added Tax (VAT) processes and tax return preparation.
• Hands-on experience with Odoo ERP and implementation in previous roles.
• Strong ability to record accounting entries accurately and reconcile bank statements.
• Experience monitoring accounts receivable and accounts payable.
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel for data management and reporting.
• Committed to accuracy and working collaboratively within a team.

Work Environment

This position is intended for candidates currently residing in Kuwait. The role involves working closely with the finance team and requires effective communication and interpersonal skills in a professional office setting.
