Job Overview

We are seeking a skilled Accountant to join a reputable travel agency in Kuwait. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing the full accounting cycle, ensuring accurate financial records are maintained, and supporting business operations with timely reports. This role requires strong business insight and excellent interpersonal skills to effectively collaborate with internal teams and external partners.

Key Responsibilities

The selected candidate will manage all accounting operations related to travel agency transactions using the Fiesta accounting system. This includes invoicing, receipts, vendor payments, and reconciliations. You will also handle airline bookings, hotel reservations, and travel packages, ensuring accurate cost allocation and margin calculations.

The role involves managing Billing Settlement Plan (BSP) reports, reconciling them with system records, and ensuring compliance with IATA standards. Additionally, you will monitor accounts receivable and payable, maintain healthy cash flow by following up with clients and suppliers, and prepare monthly financial and management reports to assist decision-making processes.

Providing support to auditors and management by supplying system reports, documentation, and reconciliation records is also part of your duties. Furthermore, you will be tasked with training team members on using Fiesta software for daily operations and reporting purposes.

Required Skills

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, especially Excel and Word.
• Ability to prepare detailed accounting and management reports.
• Strong knowledge of accounting principles and full-cycle accounting.
• Familiarity with BSP procedures and IATA compliance requirements.
• Effective communication and interpersonal skills to liaise with teams and external stakeholders.
