Job Overview

We are looking for a skilled Procurement Engineer to join our team in Khobar, Saudi Arabia. This role involves sourcing, evaluating, and procuring technical equipment, materials, and services essential for engineering projects. The successful candidate will ensure quality standards, cost-effectiveness, and timely delivery while collaborating closely with engineering and supply chain teams.

Key Responsibilities

• Source and identify reliable suppliers for engineering materials, equipment, and services
• Prepare and manage RFQs, RFPs, and tender documentation
• Assess vendor proposals by comparing technical specifications, price, and delivery schedules
• Negotiate contracts, prices, and delivery timelines with suppliers
• Review engineering specifications and drawings to support technical evaluations
• Coordinate with engineering and project teams to approve materials and technical bids
• Develop and maintain strong relationships with vendors, including qualifying new suppliers and evaluating performance
• Conduct supplier audits and organize performance reviews to ensure compliance
• Analyze market trends to strategize cost-saving measures without sacrificing quality
• Prepare and issue purchase orders while tracking deliveries and resolving procurement challenges
• Maintain thorough procurement records and ensure adherence to company policies and project requirements

Required Skills and Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Civil, Industrial Engineering or a related field
• Additional certifications in Supply Chain Management or Procurement are advantageous
• Strong technical knowledge of engineering materials and equipment
• Proficiency in negotiation, vendor management, and procurement processes
• Familiarity with ERP systems such as SAP or Oracle
• Competence in cost analysis, budgeting, and value engineering
• Excellent communication and analytical abilities
• 2 to 8 years of experience in procurement or supply chain roles within engineering, manufacturing, or construction sectors
