Job Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Process Engineer to join our team in Al Khobar or Jazan, Saudi Arabia. This long-term position requires immediate availability, preferably from early joiners. The ideal candidate will bring extensive experience in Oil & Gas projects, particularly with Saudi Aramco standards, to support process engineering and project execution efforts.

Key Responsibilities

The Senior Process Engineer will take the lead in managing process engineering tasks for complex Oil & Gas initiatives. Responsibilities include preparing and reviewing Process Flow Diagrams (PFDs), Piping and Instrumentation Diagrams (P&IDs), process calculations, and various engineering documents. The role involves developing and scrutinizing process design specifications and technical reports while coordinating closely with interdisciplinary engineering teams including piping, mechanical, instrumentation, and electrical divisions.

Ensuring strict compliance with project specifications, Saudi Aramco standards, and relevant codes is essential. Additionally, the engineer will review vendor documentation, offer technical feedback, and actively participate in design reviews, technical meetings, and safety studies such as HAZOP and HAZID. Providing technical support throughout construction, commissioning, and execution phases is a key aspect, along with identifying and resolving any process-related technical challenges to maintain project quality and timelines.

Requirements

Candidates must hold a Bachelor’s Degree in Chemical Engineering or a closely related field. A minimum of 10 years’ experience in process engineering within the Oil & Gas sector is required, with proven expertise in handling Saudi Aramco projects strongly preferred. Proficiency in interpreting and preparing PFDs, P&IDs, conducting process calculations, and developing process designs is mandatory.

Experience with process safety elements, including HAZOP and HAZID studies, and knowledge of relevant industry codes and standards are crucial. Excellent communication, technical skills, and the ability to coordinate across multiple engineering disciplines are expected. Immediate or early availability is highly preferred to expedite project involvement.
