Job Overview

We are seeking experienced Reliability and Maintenance Leads to join a high-profile consulting project based in Al Khobar, Saudi Arabia. This role supports a major energy operator on a strategic initiative focused on enhancing asset integrity and operational excellence within the Kingdom’s oil and gas sector. The position requires hands-on involvement in reliability-centered maintenance (RCM) and maintenance strategy development, contributing to long-term brownfield optimization programs.

Key Responsibilities

Successful candidates will play a pivotal role in driving maintenance strategy and reliability engineering efforts. Responsibilities include:

• Developing and implementing RCM and maintenance strategies aligned with asset management goals.
• Translating reliability studies into actionable maintenance tasks and job plans.
• Optimizing preventive maintenance (PM) practices to improve operational efficiency.
• Utilizing CMMS/SAP PM systems for managing task lists, work plans, and maintenance schedules.
• Facilitating technical workshops that engage engineering, operations, and maintenance teams.
• Providing site-based support through regular visits to operating locations for reviews and execution assistance.

Required Skills and Experience

The ideal candidate will possess approximately 10 years of relevant experience in reliability and maintenance engineering within the oil and gas or petrochemical industries. Expertise in RCM, maintenance strategy formulation, and preventive maintenance optimization is essential. Strong competency in CMMS (SAP PM preferred) and practical experience implementing maintenance plans are critical. Excellent communication, stakeholder management, and collaboration skills across multifunctional teams are also required.

Work Environment and Engagement Details

This is a consulting assignment with a work schedule of six days per week, totaling 48 hours. The role is primarily office-based in Al Khobar, with regular site visits to operational assets. Transportation and accommodation arrangements will be provided when site-based activities are required. The project offers the possibility of contract extension based on performance and business needs.

Candidate Profile

We are looking for candidates currently working as Reliability Engineers, Maintenance Engineers, or Maintenance Strategy Leads within the energy sector. Familiarity with the oil and gas or petrochemical environments will be highly advantageous. Candidates must demonstrate strong interpersonal and cross-functional coordination capabilities to effectively engage with diverse teams and stakeholders.
