Job Overview

We are currently looking for a skilled Fire Fighting System Engineer with proven experience in the Gulf region to join our team in Khobar, Saudi Arabia. The successful candidate will be responsible for designing, supervising, and maintaining fire protection systems, ensuring adherence to both local and international safety standards.

Key Responsibilities

The role involves designing and reviewing fire fighting systems such as sprinklers, hydrants, hose reels, foam, and clean agent systems. The engineer will prepare detailed shop drawings, layouts, calculations, and technical submittals. Supervision of installation, testing, and commissioning phases is essential to ensure full compliance with Civil Defense, NFPA standards, and local authority requirements.

Conducting thorough site inspections, coordinating efforts with consultants and contractors, and troubleshooting any system issues are crucial parts of the job. The engineer will also review material specifications, liaise with suppliers, and prepare method statements, progress reports, and as-built documentation. Supporting authority inspections and managing project handovers while maintaining project quality, safety, and timelines will be part of routine duties.

Required Skills and Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Fire Protection Engineering, or a related technical discipline.
• Demonstrated experience working within the Gulf region’s regulations and environment.
• Strong understanding of NFPA standards and Civil Defense codes.
• Experience in system testing, commissioning, and obtaining project approvals.
• Effective communication skills and the ability to coordinate across multiple stakeholders.

Work Environment and Location

This position requires presence in Al Khobar for in-person interviews and is based in the city itself, offering the opportunity to engage directly with project sites and teams within Saudi Arabia’s dynamic infrastructure sector.
