Job Overview
We are seeking experienced Electrical Estimation Engineers to join our team in Khobar, Saudi Arabia. This role involves delivering precise and competitive cost estimates for electrical works on MEP and ELV projects. The successful candidate will play a key role in analyzing project drawings, preparing detailed Bills of Quantities (BOQs), and collaborating with engineering and procurement teams to ensure accurate pricing and strong bid submissions for construction and infrastructure projects.
Key Responsibilities
The primary duties include:
- Reviewing project specifications, drawings, and BOQs to accurately define the electrical work scope across MEP, ELV, MV, and LV systems.
- Preparing thorough cost estimates and detailed BOQs covering materials, labor, equipment, and subcontractor tasks.
- Developing competitive and compliant technical and commercial proposals aligned with project needs and industry standards.
- Performing quantity take-offs for various electrical systems, including lighting, power distribution, cabling, fire alarm, CCTV, access control, BMS, and other ELV disciplines.
- Engaging with suppliers and subcontractors to collect quotations, evaluate pricing, and identify cost-effective solutions.
Required Skills and Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering (BE/B-Tech).
- Membership with the Saudi Council of Engineers (Engineer Classification) is essential.
- Proficiency in AutoCAD for reviewing and interpreting electrical drawings.
- Advanced Excel skills for cost analysis and reporting.
- Familiarity with OSHA standards and safety awareness.
- Strong background in MEP electrical estimation, including HVAC electrical systems, power, lighting, grounding, containment, and cable sizing.
- Experience in estimating ELV systems such as Fire Alarm, CCTV, Access Control, BMS, MATV, Data/Structured Cabling, Public Address, and Intercom.
- Good understanding of Medium Voltage (MV) and Low Voltage (LV) distribution networks.
- Expertise in quantity take-offs, BOQ preparation, and detailed cost breakdowns.
- Knowledge of materials and standards commonly used in the Saudi market.
