Job Overview

We are seeking a qualified and meticulous Accountant with proven Gulf experience to join our team in Khobar. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in handling full-cycle accounting processes within retail and commercial sectors, ensuring compliance with regional standards and contributing to strategic financial planning.

Key Responsibilities

The role involves managing comprehensive accounting functions such as Accounts Payable (AP), Accounts Receivable (AR), maintaining the General Ledger, and performing bank reconciliations. The Accountant will prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements following IFRS standards and local regulatory requirements. Duties also include VAT filing and compliance, ensuring accurate and timely submission of documentation to Gulf tax authorities.

Additionally, the position requires performing month-end and year-end closing activities under strict deadlines, collaborating with external auditors, maintaining cash flow monitoring, expense tracking, and budget variance analysis. Utilizing ERP systems like SAP, Oracle, or QuickBooks for financial management and reporting is essential. The role also calls for strengthening internal financial controls and streamlining processes to improve accuracy and efficiency.

Required Skills

• Solid experience with accounting operations in the GCC region, preferably in retail or commercial sectors
• Proficiency in IFRS compliance and local Gulf financial regulations
• Strong skills in ERP systems and accounting software such as SAP, Oracle, or QuickBooks
• Advanced Microsoft Excel capabilities for financial analysis, reconciliations, and reporting dashboards
• Excellent attention to detail and problem-solving skills
• Ability to work effectively in multicultural and confidential environments
• Strong organizational skills to meet tight deadlines for financial reporting and audit submissions

Requirements

Applicants should have previous Gulf experience in accounting roles, demonstrating competence in managing VAT compliance and filing.
