Job Overview

We are looking for a meticulous and proactive Accountant to join our team in Khobar, Saudi Arabia. This role supports the financial operations of a company specializing in fleet tracking and telematics IoT solutions. You will play a key role in managing accounting activities, ensuring compliance with IFRS standards and Saudi regulations, and supporting revenue recognition and billing for subscription-based services.

Key Responsibilities

The Accountant will be responsible for maintaining accurate financial records according to company policies and international standards. Key duties include preparing financial reports on a monthly, quarterly, and annual basis, handling accounts receivable and payable, and overseeing customer invoicing for both fleet services and device sales. You will monitor subscription billing, contract and deferred revenue, reconcile bank statements, and review the general ledger. Additional responsibilities involve managing VAT compliance and filings, assisting with budgeting and forecasting, coordinating with operations for asset capitalization, supporting audits, and ensuring timely month-end and year-end closings.

Required Skills and Experience

The ideal candidate will hold a bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance and have 3 to 5 years of relevant experience, preferably in telecom, technology, or service industries. A strong understanding of IFRS standards and Saudi VAT laws is essential. Practical experience with ERP or accounting software and proficiency in MS Excel are also required. Attention to detail, analytical thinking, and the ability to work independently to meet deadlines are vital for success in this role.

Preferred Qualifications

Candidates with experience in fleet management, telematics, telecom, or subscription-based businesses are highly preferred. Professional accounting certifications such as ACCA, CMA, or CPA (part-qualified or fully qualified) will be considered an advantage. Fluency in Arabic is also regarded as a strong plus, enhancing communication within the organization and with local authorities.
