Job Overview

We are looking for a meticulous and proactive Cost Controller to join the finance and procurement team at a luxury hotel located in Jubail Industrial City, Saudi Arabia. This role is crucial in managing and optimizing the hotel’s cost structures to support efficient operations and maximize profitability.

Key Responsibilities

The successful candidate will be responsible for tracking daily material movements including receiving, issuing, and transfers, conducting cost audits across all departments, and preparing detailed cost reports with variance analyses. They will also verify accuracy of daily receiving reports and outlet consumption, monitor inventory levels, and coordinate physical inventory counts while reconciling discrepancies.

Additional duties include reviewing purchase requests to ensure cost-effectiveness, assisting with recipe costing and menu pricing in collaboration with the Executive Chef, overseeing food, beverage, and operational supply costs, and monitoring wastage and spoilage to recommend necessary corrective actions.

The Cost Controller will support month-end closing activities, maintain proper documentation for all cost-related matters, assist during internal and external audits by providing required data, and identify opportunities to reduce costs while improving operational efficiency.

Required Skills and Experience

• A minimum of three years of experience in cost control, preferably within the hospitality industry.
• Strong knowledge of hotel cost centers such as Food & Beverage, housekeeping, engineering, and procurement.
• Proficiency in using cost management and inventory software; familiarity with iCloud Material Management System is advantageous but not mandatory.
• Excellent analytical, reporting, and attention-to-detail skills.
• Ability to collaborate effectively with purchasing, stores, and kitchen teams.
