Job Overview

We are looking for a skilled and ARAMCO approved Piping & Coating QC Inspector to join our project team in Jubail, Saudi Arabia. The ideal candidate will have successfully passed the CBT and possess extensive experience in inspecting all piping fabrication, installation, and coating processes to ensure they meet Saudi Aramco standards, project specifications, and international quality codes.

Key Responsibilities

The inspector will be responsible for conducting thorough inspections throughout the project lifecycle, including:

  • Monitoring piping fabrication, erection, installation, and testing activities to comply with Saudi Aramco engineering standards and project requirements.
  • Verifying piping materials such as fittings, flanges, gaskets, valves, and supports against approved Material Test Certificates (MTCs), drawings, and specifications.
  • Overseeing piping fit-up, alignment, bolt-up, pressure testing, flushing, and reinstatement operations.
  • Inspecting coating processes including surface preparation, blasting, painting, curing, and ensuring environmental conditions like humidity and temperature meet coating application standards.
  • Performing tests such as Dry Film Thickness (DFT), adhesion, holiday detection, and visual inspections.
  • Coordinating with Non-Destructive Testing (NDT) and hydrotest teams and reviewing their reports for quality assurance.
  • Identifying non-conformities, issuing Non-Conformance Reports (NCRs), and verifying corrective and preventive actions.
  • Maintaining detailed inspection records, daily reports, and other quality documentation.
  • Participating in audits, quality meetings, and site inspections while ensuring adherence to Health, Safety, and Environmental (HSE) guidelines.

Requirements and Qualifications

  • Mandatory ARAMCO approval as a Piping & Coating QC Inspector with a passed CBT.
  • Diploma or technical qualification in Mechanical Engineering or related field.
  • At least 5 years of experience in piping and coating inspections within oil & gas or petrochemical projects.
  • In-depth understanding of Saudi Aramco Engineering Standards (SAES) and Saudi Aramco Material Specifications (SAMSS).
  • Familiarity with international standards such as ASME B31.3/B31.4/B31.8, API, and related codes.
  • Certifications like CSWIP, API, or NACE (BGAS/AMPP) are highly advantageous.
  • Strong knowledge of coating systems and surface preparation standards including SSPC, NACE, and ISO.
  • Experience with pressure testing, flushing, reinstatement, and line clearance procedures.
  • Proficiency in reading and interpreting P&IDs, isometrics, GA drawings, and technical specifications.
  • Excellent communication and documentation skills.

Work Environment and Employment Details

This is a full-time contract position based in Saudi Arabia, specifically on project sites in Jubail. Candidates should be ready for immediate or short-notice mobilization. Accommodation and transportation will be provided according to company policy. Working hours will align with project requirements, and the scope of FAT remains the responsibility of the company.
