Description
Job Overview
We are seeking skilled AVEVA E3D Piping Class and CAD Operators with proven ARAMCO experience to join our team. The role involves working closely with the contractor’s office to develop and maintain piping specifications and component catalogues that comply with project standards. This position requires precision and expertise in AVEVA E3D software, focused on creating detailed and accurate 3D models for piping systems.
Key Responsibilities
The successful candidate will be responsible for building and updating E3D piping specifications and catalogues based on the project’s Piping Material Specifications (PMS) and contractor guidelines. Tasks include:
- Develop and populate catalogue entries for pipes, fittings, valves, supports, specialty items, bolts, gaskets, and instrumentation.
- Ensure components have proper dimensions, physical properties, material grades, weights, and pressure ratings.
- Verify correct geometry, connection points (P-points), and maintain logical branch connectivity with Arrive/Leave attributes within the E3D environment.
- Perform placement checks and route testing in the E3D Design module to confirm component behavior and connectivity.
- Run diagnostic checks and generate data consistency reports to identify and resolve specification errors.
- Support model review milestones at 30%, 60%, and 90% completion phases by addressing specification-related feedback.
- Document and highlight any out-of-spec items or manual overrides for contractor approval and review.
- Define specifications for non-metallic components such as FRP or PVC, referencing approved vendor catalogues and documenting vendor sources.
- Configure parametric components for specialty, support, and instrumentation items to allow dimensional inputs within the model.
- Ensure capability to enter descriptions and part numbers for components pre-final vendor confirmation to aid in isometric, piping plan, and material take-off (MTO) generation.
Required Skills and Experience
Candidates must have solid experience working with AVEVA E3D software, specifically in piping class specification and CAD operations within ARAMCO projects. Attention to detail, strong organizational skills, and the ability to manage complex technical data accurately are essential. Familiarity with piping material specifications and cataloguing standards will be highly beneficial.
