Job Overview

Express Al Arabia General Contracting is seeking a skilled Material Controller to join their major construction project team in Turaif, Saudi Arabia. This is a long-term position ideal for candidates with a minimum of five years’ experience in material or warehouse management, particularly within industrial projects involving equipment, piping, and structural steel materials.

Key Responsibilities

The Material Controller will be responsible for managing material receiving, inspection, and issuing operations to ensure smooth project execution. This includes supporting quality control (QC) teams during material inspection activities by preparing relevant documentation, verifying material identification, and conducting site inspections. The role also involves closely monitoring material documents such as Material Test Certificates (MTC), packing lists, and delivery notes to maintain accuracy and compliance.

Additionally, the candidate will coordinate with warehouse staff, QC, construction teams, and suppliers to maintain efficient communication and material flow. Maintaining detailed stock records and updating data regularly using Excel and other MS Office applications is essential.

Required Skills and Qualifications

• Minimum five years of experience in material or warehouse management within industrial or construction projects
• Familiarity with equipment, piping, and structural steel materials
• Understanding material receiving and inspection procedures, along with inspection request (IR) processes
• Basic ability to read and interpret drawings, including material specifications, grades, and sizes
• Good teamwork skills and a collaborative approach to work in a multi-person environment
• Strong communication and coordination skills to work effectively with various departments and suppliers
• Proficiency in Excel and other basic MS Office tools for record-keeping and reporting
• Detail-oriented with a responsible mindset and adaptability to site and warehouse working conditions
• Basic English reading and writing skills to understand material documents and labels
• Must hold a valid Ajeer card

Work Environment

This role is based in Turaif and will require working onsite in the warehouse and project areas. The ideal candidate should be comfortable adapting to the dynamic nature of a construction site environment while maintaining meticulous control over material handling and inventory management.
