Job Overview

We are currently seeking a seasoned Senior Testing and Commissioning Electrical Engineer to join a site-based team in Jubail, Saudi Arabia. This role involves overseeing testing and commissioning tasks for Saudi Electricity Company (SEC) projects, ensuring all activities meet stringent quality and safety standards.

Key Responsibilities

The successful candidate will be responsible for conducting comprehensive testing and commissioning of low and medium voltage electrical systems. This includes power cables, transformers, ring main units, and switchgear. Additional expertise in high voltage (HV) and extra-high voltage (EHV) testing will be highly valued. The role requires leading and supervising technician teams on-site, managing all testing procedures safely and in accordance with SEC protocols.

Critical duties include fault diagnosis, troubleshooting, and repairs of overhead and underground cables, as well as testing and configuring protection relays within MV switchgear. The engineer will also support substation final energization and prepare detailed documentation for all testing phases aligned with SEC standards.

Required Skills and Qualifications

• Proven hands-on experience specifically on Saudi Electricity Company projects.
• Strong expertise in substation testing, commissioning, and electrical system fault analysis.
• Capability to work independently with full responsibility for site operations.
• Comprehensive knowledge of safety practices and testing techniques in electrical engineering.
• Familiarity with SEC documentation, approval processes, and reporting formats.
• Immediate availability to commence work is essential.
