We are seeking a highly skilled Mechanical Commissioning Engineer with extensive experience to join our team in Jubail, Saudi Arabia. The ideal candidate will play a vital role in the successful pre-commissioning and commissioning phases of refinery and petrochemical projects, ensuring all mechanical systems operate safely and efficiently.

Key Responsibilities

The Commissioning Engineer will be responsible for planning and executing a range of pre-commissioning activities such as air blowing, water flushing, and steam blowing. You will carry out commissioning tasks including tightness tests, refractory dry-outs, system drying, and inerting procedures. The role also involves troubleshooting issues across mechanical, electrical, process, and control systems to guarantee smooth operations. Reviewing process flow diagrams (PFDs) and piping and instrumentation diagrams (P&IDs) will be essential to fully understand commissioning scopes. Additionally, coordination with vendors and construction teams will be required to ensure system readiness while maintaining compliance with stringent safety and quality standards. Accurate preparation of commissioning reports and thorough documentation is expected throughout.

Required Skills and Experience

The successful candidate must possess a minimum of 10 years of proven experience in commissioning within refinery or petrochemical environments. Practical knowledge of pre-commissioning and commissioning processes is crucial, especially hands-on expertise with rotating equipment and control systems. A strong ability to troubleshoot multidisciplinary systems and interpret technical diagrams is essential for this position.
