Job Overview

Arabex Contracting LLC, a leading engineering and construction company, is seeking a seasoned Pressure Vessel and Static Equipment Inspector with Aramco approval. Key Responsibilities

The successful candidate will be responsible for conducting thorough inspections of static equipment to ensure compliance with industry standards and project specifications, including:

  • Inspection of pressure vessels in accordance with ASME Section VIII Divisions 1 and 2
  • Examining columns, reactors, heat exchangers (shell & tube and air cooled), storage tanks (API 650/653), as well as boilers and fired heaters where applicable
  • Reviewing Inspection Test Plans (ITPs), welding procedure specifications (WPS), procedure qualification records (PQRs), and welder performance qualifications (WPQ)
  • Overseeing material receiving inspections, hydrostatic and pneumatic test witnessing, and coordinating non-destructive testing (NDT) activities along with report reviews
  • Managing punch lists and supporting mechanical completion activities
  • Handling RFI submissions, Aramco inspection coordination, and ensuring compliance with SATIP and QMIS documentation requirements

Required Skills and Experience

Applicants must have between 8 and 12 years of overall experience inspecting static equipment within oil and gas projects and at least 5 years working on Saudi Aramco EPC projects, either directly or through approved contractors like Saipem, Técnicas Reunidas, Samsung Engineering, Hyundai E&C, or Petrofac.

Strong technical knowledge of Saudi Aramco Engineering Standards (SAES), Materials System Specifications (SAMSS), and familiarity with work permit systems, job safety analysis (JSA), and Aramco safety protocols are essential.

Certifications and Approvals

  • Valid API 510 certification for pressure vessel inspection is mandatory
  • API 570 and API 653 certifications are preferred if the scope covers piping and tanks
  • NDT Level II certifications (RT, UT, MT, PT)
  • CSWIP 3.1 or 3.2 certifications are a plus
  • Must hold Saudi Aramco Inspector approval or have prior experience with certified Aramco projects (approval documentation required)

Additional Requirements

  • Ability to read and interpret isometric, general arrangement, P&ID, and fabrication drawings
  • Present updated CV clearly highlighting Aramco project details
  • Submit copies of API certifications, Aramco approval certificates, iqama, passport, and service agreement with the online chamber
  • Possession of an Aramco vendor code is required

Work Conditions and Location

This role is based in Al Jubail, Saudi Arabia with a contract duration of one year. The company provides accommodation, food, and transportation for business purposes.
