Job Overview

We are looking for a Senior Testing and Commissioning Electrical Engineer with extensive experience working on Saudi Electricity Company (SEC) projects. This role is based on-site in Jubail, Saudi Arabia, and requires the candidate to independently lead and manage testing and commissioning activities for low and medium voltage electrical systems.

Key Responsibilities

The selected engineer will be responsible for completing testing and commissioning tasks across various electrical components, including:

  • Power cables, both underground and overhead
  • Transformers
  • Ring Main Units (RMUs)
  • Low and Medium Voltage switchgear

In addition, having experience with High Voltage (HV) and Extra High Voltage (EHV) testing will be an advantage. The role requires leading teams of technicians onsite, ensuring adherence to safety protocols during handling and operation of testing equipment.

Responsibilities also include identifying faults, troubleshooting, and repairing overhead and underground cables. The engineer will be involved in testing, configuring, and commissioning protection relays within MV switchgear, as well as supporting substation energization activities.

Documentation is a key part of this role, which includes preparing, reviewing, and submitting testing reports in compliance with SEC’s standards and procedures. Maintaining strict adherence to all safety rules, site procedures, and documentation protocols set by the Saudi Electricity Company is essential.

Experience and Requirements

  • Proven hands-on experience working specifically on Saudi Electricity Company projects
  • Strong expertise in substation testing and commissioning
  • Ability to independently assume full responsibility for site activities
  • Comprehensive knowledge of site safety practices and electrical testing methodologies
  • Familiarity with SEC documentation, approvals, and reporting is mandatory
  • Immediate availability to join the project
