Job Overview
We are looking for an experienced Planning Engineer with a background in Civil Engineering to join an urgent shutdown project in Jubail. This opportunity is associated with Ma’aden and requires an immediate start. The position focuses on managing project schedules and progress for a complex industrial shutdown within a civil and infrastructure scope.
Key Responsibilities
The Planning Engineer will be responsible for developing detailed project schedules, monitoring progress, and coordinating reporting for internal teams and the client. Specific duties include:
- Creating and managing Level-3 or Level-4 baseline schedules using Primavera P6.
- Developing and maintaining the Progress Measurement System (PMS) to support monthly billing and invoicing processes.
- Generating daily, weekly, and monthly progress reports such as S-Curves, look-ahead plans, and delay analyses.
- Collaborating closely with client representatives, particularly those familiar with Ma’aden or SABIC standards.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering is mandatory, with Saudi Council of Engineers (SCE) registration preferred.
- At least 4 years of experience in project planning and scheduling related to industrial shutdowns or large-scale industrial projects.
- Proficient in using Primavera P6 to prepare comprehensive project schedules and reports.
- Proven history of working directly on projects involving Ma’aden or SABIC facilities with knowledge of their operational standards.
- Ability to handle project documentation supporting billing and client communication.
- Valid Iqama with at least 6 months remaining; candidates on Ajeer contracts are preferred for swift ID processing.
Project Details
This opportunity is centered on an industrial plant shutdown conducted over approximately three months, focusing on civil engineering and infrastructure tasks within the industrial domain. The contract is with Ma’aden, located in Jubail, Saudi Arabia. Mobilization is expected immediately, with potential for project extension beyond October 2026.
