Job Overview

We are looking for an experienced Piping Engineer / Piping QC Inspector to join a leading project in the oil, gas, petrochemical, or chemical plant sector based in Jubail, Saudi Arabia. This role requires strong technical knowledge in piping engineering and quality control to ensure installations meet the highest industry standards.

Key Responsibilities

The successful candidate will be responsible for interpreting and reviewing piping isometric drawings, P&IDs, and general arrangement plans. You will verify piping installation compliance with project specifications and approved drawings and manage inspection procedures throughout prefabrication, installation, testing, and commissioning stages. The role includes preparing as-built isometric drawings and collaborating closely with construction teams, welding inspectors, and client representatives to ensure quality and safety standards.

Required Skills and Experience

• Proficient in reading and understanding complex engineering drawings and specifications related to piping systems.
• Hands-on experience in oil, gas, petrochemical, or chemical industry projects.
• Knowledge of international codes and standards such as ASME, API, ASTM, ANSI, and other relevant piping guidelines.
• Understanding of piping materials, valves, fittings, and fabrication techniques.
• Capability to oversee hydro testing, line checking, punch listing, and final inspections on site.
• Familiarity with inspection processes, quality control documentation, and report generation.
• Strong awareness of safety protocols and site working procedures.

Qualifications and Additional Requirements

• Diploma or Degree in Mechanical or Piping Engineering.
• Minimum 3 to 5 years of direct experience in piping work on oil and gas projects.
• Previous involvement in Gulf projects, with preference for those based in Saudi Arabia.
• Good command of QA/QC documentation, method statements, and preparing quality inspection reports.
