Job Overview
We are seeking skilled Mechanical Technicians to join the SASREF project team in Jubail, Saudi Arabia. This project-based role requires experienced technicians to support mechanical installation and erection activities over a duration of approximately one to two weeks, starting from August 15, 2026. Candidates should be prepared to work flexible day or night shifts as needed.
Key Responsibilities
The successful candidates will be responsible for a variety of mechanical tasks, including:
- Carrying out mechanical installation and erection work for compressors and other rotating machinery.
- Performing precision alignment and leveling utilizing specialized tools to ensure optimal equipment operation.
- Executing mechanical assembly, including torquing and bolting, following engineering specifications.
- Assisting with the installation, dismantling, and adjustment of mechanical equipment as necessary.
- Adhering to approved drawings, procedures, and technical instructions throughout the project.
- Supporting the Mechanical Supervisor during installation and alignment activities to maintain quality standards.
- Identifying and promptly reporting any technical or installation issues to maintain project efficiency.
- Ensuring all tools and equipment are operated safely and correctly to uphold safety protocols.
- Maintaining clean work areas and practicing good housekeeping and safety standards at all times.
- Contributing to inspection and completion activities as directed.
- Complying fully with SASREF’s site requirements and health, safety, and environmental (HSE) procedures.
Required Skills and Qualifications
- Proven experience as a Mechanical Technician or Mechanical Fitter within the oil and gas, petrochemical, refinery, or similar heavy industrial environments.
- Strong hands-on expertise with compressors and rotating equipment is essential.
- Demonstrated ability in precision alignment and leveling techniques.
- Experience in torquing and bolting during mechanical installations.
- Familiarity with mechanical erection and installation practices.
- Ability to work effectively in both day and night shifts.
- Availability for immediate or short-notice deployment preferred.
- Willingness to commit to a short-term, project-based assignment lasting one to two weeks.
