Job Overview
We are seeking experienced Mechanical Material Receiving Inspectors specialized in rotating equipment for a high-profile ARAMCO project. The role requires thorough knowledge of inspection processes and industry standards to ensure all mechanical materials arriving on-site meet stringent quality and technical specifications. Candidates with a proven track record on Saudi Aramco EPC projects and holding a Mechanical QCI certification (CBT passed) are highly encouraged to apply.
Key Responsibilities
The successful candidate will be responsible for conducting precise receiving inspections of mechanical rotating equipment materials. Key duties include verifying vendor documentation, reviewing construction drawings and technical reports before inspections, and coordinating with contractors, project management teams, and project inspection departments. Support will be provided to Korean QA/QC managers, engineers, and supervisors in all quality assurance activities. The inspector will supervise inspection operations, perform witness inspections and tests aligned with the Inspection and Test Plan (ITP), and ensure full compliance with applicable technical requirements, project specifications, and local regulations.
Required Skills and Expertise
- In-depth understanding of international standards and codes such as ASTM, API, IEC, NEMA, UL, FM, NFPA, ASME BPVC (I, V, VIII, IX), ANSI/ASME B31 series, B73, NACE SP documents, AWS D1.1, API 620, and API 650.
- Familiarity with ISO 9001:2015 quality management systems, engineering drawings, material specifications, and QC procedures.
- Ability to independently conduct document reviews, inspections, and testing to confirm contractor compliance and ensure high-quality deliveries.
- Strong communication skills in English for effective reporting and coordination across multidisciplinary teams.
Qualifications and Experience
Candidates must hold at least a High School diploma, with preference given to those holding relevant diplomas or degrees in engineering or technical fields. Practical experience is critical, requiring a minimum of five years working within the oil and gas or petrochemical sectors and at least three years specifically as a Material Receiving Inspector – Mechanical on Saudi Aramco EPC projects. Proficiency in reading, writing, and speaking English is essential for this position.
