Job Overview

ZACO is seeking skilled Mechanical Equipment Preservation Technicians for an urgent opening on an Oil & Gas project located in Jubail, Saudi Arabia. This role demands experienced professionals qualified in preservation activities for mechanical and rotating equipment, primarily within the oil and gas, petrochemical, refinery, or power sectors. Immediate mobilization is required for shortlisted candidates.

Key Responsibilities

The role involves performing preservation tasks that ensure the integrity and reliability of mechanical equipment throughout the project lifecycle. Key duties include conducting dew point inspections, following preservation procedures, applying lubrication, and executing shaft rotation activities. The technician will also be responsible for maintaining detailed preservation records, monitoring equipment condition, and promptly reporting any signs of damage, corrosion, or moisture intrusion. Adherence to vendor preservation standards and commissioning processes is mandatory.

Required Skills and Experience

• Proven experience working with mechanical and rotating equipment in Oil & Gas, petrochemical, refinery, or power plant projects
• Strong knowledge of equipment preservation techniques and dew point inspection
• Ability to interpret P&IDs and equipment datasheets effectively
• Hands-on expertise in lubrication and rotating shaft operations
• Familiarity with vendor-specific preservation requirements and commissioning protocols
• Understanding of PTW (Permit to Work) systems and strict compliance with safety regulations
• Competency in preparing and maintaining preservation documentation and reports
• Alertness to equipment deterioration and readiness to report issues promptly
