Job Overview

We are seeking an experienced Mechanical Engineer to join our team in Jubail, Saudi Arabia. The ideal candidate will have 5 to 8 years of experience in piping spool fabrication and coating supervision. This role requires an individual currently based in India who can relocate and start immediately. The position involves ensuring quality compliance, overseeing fabrication processes, and coordinating with various teams to deliver project objectives efficiently.

Key Responsibilities

The Mechanical Engineer will be responsible for supervising and managing the fabrication of piping spools, including blasting and painting activities. You will ensure all work adheres to approved drawings, project specifications, and high-quality standards. Regular coordination with the fabrication yard, onsite teams, and subcontractors is essential to maintain smooth workflow.

Monitoring surface preparation and coating procedures to meet project requirements will be a critical part of the daily tasks. Additionally, the engineer must enforce health, safety, and environmental (HSE) compliance at every stage of the project. Preparation of daily and weekly progress reports will be needed to keep stakeholders informed. Collaboration with quality control/quality assurance (QC/QA) teams and client or consultant representatives will also be key.

Required Skills and Experience

• 5 to 8 years of mechanical engineering experience in piping spool fabrication and coatings.
• Strong supervisory capability to manage multi-disciplinary teams and subcontractors.
• Excellent communication and reporting skills to effectively liaise with various project stakeholders.
• Thorough understanding of quality standards and project specifications.
• Commitment to enforcing HSE regulations and safety protocols.
• Experience with coordinating fabrication yards and onsite teams.

Preferred Qualifications

Candidates with prior experience working on projects in Saudi Arabia or other GCC countries will be given preference due to the familiarity with regional standards and project dynamics.
