Job Overview

We are seeking a skilled Mechanical Engineer with a minimum of 3 to 5 years of hands-on experience working on drilling rig sites. This role requires strong mechanical knowledge to operate, maintain, and troubleshoot critical drilling equipment, ensuring safe and continuous operations in line with company and Saudi Aramco safety standards. The position is based in Jubail, Saudi Arabia, and offers a long-term or project-based contract with competitive salary and benefits.

Key Responsibilities

The Mechanical Engineer will be responsible for the operation, inspection, and maintenance of essential drilling rig machinery such as top drives, drawworks, mud pumps, generators, and compressors. You will diagnose mechanical issues promptly to reduce downtime, implement preventive maintenance programs, and maintain accurate maintenance documentation. Supervising and mentoring mechanical technicians on site, managing spare parts inventory, supporting budgeting efforts, and assisting with rig mobilization and demobilization activities are also key parts of this role.

Required Skills and Experience

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related discipline.
• Minimum five years of mechanical experience specifically with drilling rigs, including at least two years working within Saudi Arabia.
• In-depth understanding of drilling rig mechanical systems and maintenance protocols.
• Strong problem-solving skills to effectively identify and resolve mechanical failures.
• Good communication skills in English; proficiency in Arabic is advantageous.
• Capability to work under high-pressure conditions and adapt to rotational shifts in remote locations.

Additional Requirements

Preference will be given to candidates holding a valid Saudi Iqama or those with transferable sponsorship. The role demands physical stamina and commitment to health, safety, and environmental regulations on site.
