Job Overview

We are seeking a skilled Instrumentation Engineer specializing in Instrumentation and Control (I&C) to join our engineering team in Jubail. The ideal candidate will have a solid background in power plants, preferably combined cycle, or within process industries. This role demands hands-on experience with modern control systems, alongside strong analytical and teamwork abilities.

Key Responsibilities

The core functions of this position involve maintaining and monitoring advanced instrumentation systems crucial to power plant operations. Specific duties include:

• Overseeing turbine and generator control instrumentation, including governor control systems and generator protection mechanisms.
• Managing boiler instrumentation, focusing on monitoring and regulating pressure and temperature in boiler feed water systems.
• Utilizing expertise in Distributed Control Systems (DCS), Programmable Logic Controllers (PLC), Supervisory Control and Data Acquisition (SCADA), and Fieldbus communication protocols such as HART and Profibus to ensure seamless system performance.
• Supporting troubleshooting efforts and collaborating effectively with multidisciplinary teams to resolve control and instrumentation issues.

Qualifications and Skills

• Bachelor’s degree in Instrumentation, Electronics, or Electrical Engineering is required.
• 5 to 12 years of practical experience in power plants (combined cycle experience preferred) or process industries.
• Proficiency with DCS, PLC, SCADA systems, and Fieldbus technologies like HART and Profibus.
• Strong analytical thinking, problem-solving capabilities, and excellent communication skills.
• Ability to work well within a team environment and adapt to dynamic project demands.
