Job Overview
We are seeking an experienced Instrumentation Engineer to become a vital part of our project team based in Jubail, Saudi Arabia. The ideal candidate will be responsible for the engineering, installation, testing, and commissioning of instrumentation systems to meet project specifications and international standards.
Key Responsibilities
The successful applicant will take charge of reviewing and interpreting IFC drawings, P&IDs, loop diagrams, and instrument datasheets. You will supervise the installation and testing of various field instruments including pressure, temperature, GWR, and scrapper passage indicators. Additional duties include overseeing fiber optic cable testing, coordinating with electrical, mechanical, and process teams during execution, and performing critical loop checking, calibration, FAT/SAT support, and commissioning activities. Ensuring compliance with project specifications, IEC/ISA standards, and safety requirements will be essential. Preparation of technical reports, method statements, and as-built documentation is required. You will also act as a liaison with the client to address and resolve technical issues.
Required Skills and Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Instrumentation, Electrical, or Electronic Engineering
- Registration with the Saudi Council of Engineers
- Minimum of 10 years’ experience in industrial and construction projects
- Strong expertise in instrumentation systems, control panels, and PLC/DCS interfaces
- Proficiency in reviewing technical drawings and documentation
- Effective communication and coordination skills
- Ability to work independently and meet strict project deadlines
- Transferable Iqama is mandatory for this role
Preferred Experience
- Background in Oil & Gas, Power Plants, or Water Treatment projects
- At least 5 years of experience working in Saudi Arabia
- Hands-on experience with YOKOGAWA DCS loop testing
- Familiarity with Saudi Aramco, Royal Commission (RC), and Saudi Electricity Company (SEC) standards
- Experience with AutoCAD software is a plus
