Job Overview

We are seeking a skilled Estimation and Design Engineer specializing in HVAC and mechanical systems to join our team in Jubail, Saudi Arabia. The ideal candidate will be responsible for designing, estimating, and coordinating HVAC and related MEP systems, ensuring projects meet technical and financial requirements while adhering to industry standards. This role requires proficiency in design software, cost estimation, project scheduling, and effective communication with multiple teams.

Key Responsibilities

The primary duties of this position include designing HVAC and mechanical systems based on client needs, preparing detailed design drawings using AutoCAD or Revit, and performing calculations such as heat load, airflows, and HAP. You will work closely with the project and design teams to ensure design feasibility and cost accuracy.

On the estimation side, you will review tender documents, specifications, and bill of quantities (BOQs) for HVAC, firefighting, plumbing, and steel fabrication works. This involves preparing quantity take-offs, obtaining vendor quotations, analyzing technical and commercial offers, and developing thorough cost estimates encompassing materials, labor, subcontracting, and overheads.

Additionally, you will develop and maintain project schedules using Primavera P6, MS Project, or Excel, track progress, resource allocation, and cash flow forecasts, while integrating MEP activities with civil and architectural timelines.

Required Skills and Qualifications

• Strong analytical and numerical skills with keen attention to detail.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD, Revit, and design calculation tools including HAP and heat load estimations.
• Knowledge of industry standards such as ASHRAE, SMACNA, NFPA.
• Experience with project scheduling software like Primavera P6 and MS Project.
• Ability to manage multiple tenders/projects under tight deadlines effectively.
• Excellent communication skills for coordinating with various stakeholders.
• SCE Membership for Mechanical Engineering is mandatory.
