Job Overview

We are seeking an experienced Senior Estimation and Design Engineer specializing in Mechanical, Electrical, and Plumbing (MEP) systems to join our team in Jubail, Saudi Arabia. This role focuses on designing mechanical systems in line with local and international standards, preparing detailed cost estimations, and ensuring smooth coordination throughout project execution. The position requires proficiency in design software such as AutoCAD and Revit, alongside strong analytical and organizational abilities.

Key Responsibilities

The role entails creating mechanical system designs according to applicable codes and client requirements, including calculations for heat loads, airflow, piping, pump capacities, and equipment selection. Using tools like HAP and conducting detailed design calculations are essential. You’ll also develop value engineering solutions to optimize costs and improve constructability.

Coordination with project teams is critical to ensure accuracy and timely delivery of designs, while preparing and managing project schedules through MS Project or Excel to integrate MEP work seamlessly with civil and architectural activities.

On the estimation side, you’ll thoroughly review tender documents, BOQs, and drawings for systems like firefighting, fire alarm, plumbing, and steel fabrication to quantify materials and labor accurately. Maintaining a current rate database and obtaining competitive quotations from vendors are key to producing reliable cost estimates that comply with industry standards such as ASHRAE and NFPA.

Monitoring project progress, updating schedules, and assisting in cash flow forecasting are also significant parts of the job, along with preparing detailed reports as required by management.

Required Skills and Qualifications

• Proven expertise in designing mechanical systems for MEP projects using AutoCAD and Revit.
• Strong background in performing load calculations, equipment selection, and value engineering.
• Detailed knowledge of tender documentation review, quantity take-offs, and cost estimation procedures.
• Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously under tight deadlines, handling 2 to 5 inquiries daily depending on project size.
• Experience with project scheduling tools and coordinating multidisciplinary teams.
• Familiarity with standards such as ASHRAE, NFPA, local codes, and international guidelines.
• Excellent analytical skills, attention to detail, and clear communication capabilities.

Benefits

The offered salary range is between 4000 and 6000 SAR, complemented by food allowance and medical insurance as per company policy. Immediate joining is expected.
