Job Overview

We are looking for a skilled Electrical Engineer to join our team in Jubail, Saudi Arabia. The ideal candidate will be responsible for operating, inspecting, maintaining, and repairing electrical systems and equipment on drilling rigs. This role requires expertise in managing generators, MCC panels, VFDs, SCR systems, motors, lighting, and various control systems to ensure the continuous and safe operation of rig power systems.

Key Responsibilities

The Electrical Engineer will diagnose electrical faults promptly to minimize downtime and implement preventive maintenance programs adhering to company policies and Saudi Aramco HSE standards. They must ensure strict compliance with safety regulations, including lockout/tagout (LOTO) procedures, and maintain detailed maintenance records and technical documentation. Supervising and training electrical technicians and junior electricians is also essential. Additionally, the role involves supporting rig mobilization and demobilization operations, including installation and commissioning of electrical systems.

Required Skills and Qualifications

• Diploma or Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field.
• At least 5 years of electrical experience in drilling rig environments.
• Minimum 2 years of experience working in Saudi Arabia is preferred.
• In-depth knowledge of rig power systems, generators, VFD/SCR drives, and PLC control systems.
• Proficient communication skills in English; Arabic language skills are an advantage.
• Valid Saudi Iqama or transferable sponsorship is preferred.
• Ability to work in rotational shifts and adapt to remote desert locations.
