Job Overview
We are seeking a qualified Electrical Engineer with extensive expertise in low voltage (LV) and medium voltage (MV) electrical systems, specializing in industrial environments. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in designing, implementing, and supervising electrical installations for large-scale industrial projects based in Jubail.
Key Responsibilities
The Electrical Engineer will be responsible for the comprehensive design, evaluation, and execution of LV and MV electrical systems. This includes preparing and reviewing Single Line Diagrams (SLDs), performing load calculations, cable sizing, and conducting voltage drop and short-circuit analyses. Additionally, the role involves overseeing the installation and commissioning of critical electrical components such as transformers, Ring Main Units (RMUs), MV switchgear, Motor Control Centers (MCCs), and distribution panels.
Coordination with multidisciplinary teams including civil, mechanical, and instrumentation engineers is essential to ensure smooth project progression. On-site supervision, testing, commissioning, troubleshooting, and maintenance support for industrial electrical systems will also form a vital part of daily activities. Ensuring adherence to safety standards and enforcing proper work permit procedures is mandatory throughout the project lifecycle.
Required Skills and Qualifications
The ideal candidate will hold a Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering with at least 5 years of relevant experience in industrial electrical projects. Proven expertise in medium voltage systems, substations, and industrial building electrification is necessary. Experience working in EPC (Engineering, Procurement, and Construction), brownfield projects, or similar industrial environments will be an advantage. Previous exposure to projects in Saudi Arabia is highly preferred to better handle local standards and regulations.
