Job description
We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Civil 3D Designer to join our team. The candidate will play a crucial role in the design and drafting of civil engineering projects, including roads, drainage, grading, and utilities. This role involves creating detailed surface models, alignments, and profiles using AutoCAD Civil 3D, ensuring all designs meet project specifications and regulatory standards. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of civil engineering principles and be able to collaborate effectively with project managers, engineers, and other stakeholders.

Responsibilities:

?Design and draft civil engineering infrastructure projects (e.g., roads, drainage, grading) using AutoCAD Civil 3D.

?Create and modify surface models, alignments, profiles, and corridor models.

?Prepare detailed plans, sections, and drawings according to project specifications.

?Collaborate with engineers and project managers to ensure that designs meet project requirements and timelines.

?Review and interpret project specifications, ensuring compliance with codes and standards.

?Coordinate with structural, mechanical, and electrical teams to ensure design compatibility.

?Perform quality checks on drawings and designs for accuracy and compliance.

?Implement revisions based on design feedback and construction changes.

?Provide technical support to junior designers and drafters.

?Assist in resolving design issues and troubleshooting challenges.

?Maintain organized project files and documentation, including reports and as-built drawings.Interview Prep

Requirements:

?Education: Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Drafting, or a related field.

?Experience: 5 years in civil engineering design and drafting, specifically using AutoCAD Civil 3D.

?Skills:

Proficiency in AutoCAD Civil 3D.

Understanding of civil engineering principles and design practices.

Familiarity with relevant codes and standards (e.g., AASHTO).

Strong communication and teamwork skills.

Excellent organizational and problem-solving abilities.

Attention to detail and quality assurance focus.
