Job Overview

We are currently looking for a dedicated Junior Painting QA/QC and Site In-Charge to join our team in Jubail. This role involves overseeing quality assurance and control activities for industrial painting and coating projects, alongside managing site execution tasks to ensure projects meet the highest standards.

Key Responsibilities

The successful candidate will be tasked with supervising daily painting operations and verifying that all procedures—from surface preparation and blasting to paint application and curing—comply with approved specifications and project requirements. Responsibilities include conducting inspections for surface conditions, dry film thickness (DFT), wet film thickness (WFT), paint mixing, and environmental conditions essential for paint application. The role demands coordinating site manpower, materials, and equipment efficiently to keep projects on schedule.

Additionally, the candidate will liaise with clients, consultants, and third-party inspectors to facilitate inspections and approvals. Maintaining comprehensive QA/QC records, including inspection reports, checklists, and non-conformance reports (NCRs), is a critical part of the position. Ensuring adherence to approved method statements, safety protocols, and quality plans is central to the role, along with monitoring productivity and providing regular progress reports to project management. Identifying and addressing quality issues with appropriate corrective and preventive measures is also expected.

Qualifications and Required Skills

Applicants should hold a Diploma or Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or a relevant technical field, supported by 2 to 3 years of hands-on experience within industrial painting and coating projects. A robust understanding of surface preparation standards, blasting grades, coating systems, and inspection methodologies is essential. Familiarity with ISO, SSPC, and NACE standards is highly preferred.

A mandatory BGAS certification and a transferable Iqama (visa) are required for consideration. Strong leadership capabilities, effective coordination, and excellent communication skills are vital to successfully managing this role.

Compensation

The offered salary ranges between SAR 3,000 and SAR 3,500, with the final figure negotiable based on the candidate’s expertise and qualifications.
