Job Overview
We are urgently seeking an experienced Mechanical Material Receiving Inspector to join our team for a long-term project located in Jubail, Saudi Arabia. This role involves ensuring the quality and compliance of mechanical materials delivered for an industrial oil and gas or petrochemical project with a focus on ARAMCO site standards.
Key Responsibilities
The successful candidate will be responsible for conducting thorough receiving inspections of mechanical materials, verifying vendor documentation, and cross-checking construction drawings and reports before inspection. Coordination with contractor material teams, project management teams, and process and instrumentation departments is essential to oversee proper material receiving inspection activities.
Additional duties include assisting QA/QC management personnel, supervising quality control actions on materials, executing witness inspections and tests as per the Inspection and Test Plan (ITP), and ensuring adherence to all technical requirements and local regulations.
Required Skills and Experience
- Minimum of 5 years’ experience in relevant industries such as oil and gas or petrochemical sectors.
- At least 3 years specifically working as a Mechanical Material Receiving Inspector on ARAMCO project sites with EPC contractors.
- In-depth knowledge of international codes and standards including ASTM, API, IEC, NEMA, UL, FM, NFPA, ASME BPVC (Sections I, V, VIII, IX), ANSI/ASME B31.3, B31.4, B31.8, B73, API 620, API 650, AWS D1.1, and NACE standards.
- Proficiency with the 2015 ISO 9001 quality management system standards and a strong understanding of engineering drawings, standards, material specifications, construction methods, and quality inspection processes.
- Ability to perform detailed document reviews, inspections, and testing with minimal supervision to ensure contractor compliance.
