Job Overview

We are seeking a skilled Construction Engineer or Construction Manager with extensive experience to lead construction activities on a large-scale industrial project in Jubail. This is a six-month contract position within the Oil & Gas, Petrochemical, Refinery, Offshore, and Infrastructure sectors. The ideal candidate will have 8 to 10 years of proven expertise in managing complex construction operations, ensuring high standards of safety, quality, and compliance.

Key Responsibilities

As the Construction Engineer / Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing all phases of the construction process from start to finish. Your duties will include:

• Reviewing the project scope, job specifications, and contractor deliverables to ensure everything aligns with the project goals.
• Supporting the preparation of Issued for Construction (IFC) drawings and Invitation to Bid (ITB) packages to facilitate smooth project execution.
• Leading pre-job safety planning, clarifying scopes, and conducting Kick-Off Meetings (KOM) with contractors to set clear expectations.
• Monitoring construction progress to guarantee compliance with design specifications, industry codes, and project standards.
• Coordinating subcontractors and various construction teams to meet project milestones efficiently.
• Enforcing safety protocols, quality requirements, and performance objectives throughout the construction phase.
• Applying in-depth knowledge of construction methods, international codes, and engineering standards to solve problems and keep the project on track.

Required Skills and Experience

The successful candidate should bring the following to the role:

• A minimum of 8 to 10 years’ experience in construction engineering or management, ideally within oil & gas or related heavy industries.
• Strong understanding of construction project planning, execution, and control in industrial environments.
• Familiarity with engineering drawings, IFC documentation, and bidding processes.
• Exceptional communication and leadership skills to efficiently manage contractors and teams.
• Proven ability to enforce safety and quality standards on site.
• Competence in interpreting and applying international construction codes and engineering regulations.
