Job Overview

We are currently looking for a knowledgeable and meticulous Senior Accountant to join our finance department in Al-Jubail, Eastern Province. This full-time role is ideal for professionals who have a strong background in accounting principles and finance operations, and who are eager to contribute to a growing company by managing comprehensive accounting functions.

Key Responsibilities

As a Senior Accountant, you will take charge of several critical financial processes, including:

• Managing the general ledger, preparing journal entries, and overseeing month-end closing procedures to ensure accuracy.
• Preparing and reviewing financial statements in compliance with IFRS standards and local regulations.
• Handling accounts payable and receivable as well as conducting bank reconciliations to maintain accurate financial records.
• Monitoring cash flow activities and creating cash forecasts to assist treasury operations.
• Managing VAT and ZATCA filings, ensuring regulatory compliance, and reconciling tax accounts.
• Maintaining fixed asset registers, updating depreciation schedules, and performing asset verifications.
• Analyzing budgets, costs, and variances, providing financial insights to support management’s decision-making.
• Coordinating with internal and external auditors for annual and interim audits, preparing necessary documentation.
• Enforcing internal controls and ensuring adherence to corporate financial policies.
• Supporting the financial planning and forecasting efforts of the management team.

Qualifications and Skills

To succeed in this role, candidates should meet the following qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related discipline. Professional certifications such as CPA, ACCA, or CMA are highly preferred.
• At least 5 to 7 years of practical experience in accounting and financial management.
• Strong understanding of IFRS, Saudi ZATCA regulations, and corporate accounting procedures.
• Proficient in ERP software, with experience in Focus or similar accounting systems being advantageous.
• Excellent analytical skills coupled with strong organizational abilities and effective communication.
• Ability to work independently, manage deadlines efficiently, and handle confidential information responsibly.
