Job Overview

We are seeking a dedicated Transport and Service Coordinator to join a leading automotive logistics company based in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia. This full-time role involves managing the movement and servicing of vehicles within an automotive yard, ensuring timely dispatch, smooth coordination with suppliers, service providers, and customers, while adhering to local safety and compliance standards.

Key Responsibilities

As the Transport and Service Coordinator, you will oversee daily transport operations, utilizing SAP to plan and report key performance indicators. You will be responsible for meeting customer lead times and maintaining SLA-based performance targets. Efficiently maximizing fleet utilization by prioritizing vehicle assignments based on customer needs is essential. Monitoring fleet costs, including fuel consumption, and implementing improvements will fall under your remit.

Collaboration with the Quality Assurance team is crucial to minimize accidents and vehicle damage, particularly during car-carrier deliveries and heavy vehicle operations. You will also supervise servicing, repairs, regular maintenance, emergency breakdown responses, and vehicle recovery. Conducting toolbox training sessions for heavy vehicle drivers regularly forms part of your role. In addition, you will prepare monthly operational and financial reports covering trip allowances, overtime, offloads, payroll data, petty cash, and billing statements.

Required Skills and Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in any discipline
• At least two years of experience in transport planning, fleet coordination, or warehousing
• Proficiency in SAP systems is highly advantageous
• Strong capabilities in MS Office and report preparation
• Excellent communication skills, able to engage effectively at all organizational levels
• Proven planning and problem-solving skills
• Ability to work efficiently under pressure and meet strict deadlines
• Leadership qualities to motivate and manage a team of drivers confidently
• Familiarity with Saudi Arabian transport and safety regulations is preferred
