Job Overview

We are seeking a Senior IT Governance Officer to oversee and enhance IT governance practices within our organization. The ideal candidate will ensure that IT systems and processes align with established governance frameworks, maintaining a high maturity level and supporting compliance initiatives.

Key Responsibilities

• Implement and maintain the COBIT 5 framework to guide IT governance activities.
• Develop and manage IT documentation in accordance with governance standards.
• Assist with ISO standard implementations by coordinating meetings with ISO consultants and process owners, and distributing approved documents to stakeholders.
• Prepare and share governance status reports with management.
• Ensure compliance with the Saudi Arabian Monetary Authority (SAMA) Cyber Security Framework by monitoring the maturity level and control implementations.
• Identify and address bottlenecks in IT business processes, applying and documenting necessary controls.
• Drive process improvements and collaborate with teams to recommend enhancements.
• Support IT policy and procedure development, review, and validation in coordination with Corporate Governance and relevant committees.
• Assist internal and external audits by facilitating necessary activities and ensuring timely compliance with audit findings.
• Coordinate risk management activities by maintaining IT Key Risk Indicators (KRIs), aligning with risk policies, and supporting risk updates across departments.

Required Skills

• Proven experience in IT governance frameworks, standards, audit practices, risk management, and comprehensive documentation.
• Familiarity with COBIT 2019, ISO 20000, ISO 27000, ISO 9000 standards is highly advantageous.
• Knowledge of Lean, Six Sigma methodologies and project management principles is a plus.
