Job Overview

We are seeking a Senior IT Engineer to join our team in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia, supporting a leading company in the LED screen and facade lighting industry. This role involves managing the technical infrastructure that powers innovative digital display and architectural lighting projects across the region.

Key Responsibilities

The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of IT infrastructure, including servers, networks, and security frameworks. You will handle configuration, troubleshooting, and support for LED screen control systems and software, managing media servers, video processors, and content management tools essential for LED displays. The role also requires supporting facade lighting control protocols such as DMX and DALI, ensuring seamless integration between hardware, software, and network components. Monitoring system performance and resolving technical issues both onsite and remotely will be critical, alongside implementing robust data security, backup, and disaster recovery strategies. Collaboration is key, as you will coordinate with project, engineering, and installation teams and provide technical support throughout project execution and client handover. Maintaining thorough documentation of IT systems and configurations is also part of the role.

Required Skills and Experience

Candidates should hold a Bachelor’s degree in IT, Computer Science, Electronics, or a related field and have at least five years of proven experience in IT engineering, preferably within the LED display or lighting sectors. Strong expertise in networking protocols such as TCP/IP, VLANs, and VPNs, combined with system administration skills, is required. Familiarity with LED display technologies and video processors like Novastar and Colorlight is essential, along with knowledge of lighting control systems—DMX and DALI are mandatory, while KNX is advantageous. Candidates must be comfortable working in Windows and Linux environments and have hands-on experience with cloud services. Strong troubleshooting and analytical abilities and the capacity to handle multiple projects under pressure are necessary.

Preferred Qualifications

Additional qualifications such as a B Tech degree and certifications like CCNA or MCSA will be considered an advantage. Experience with large-scale digital signage or architectural lighting projects, IoT integration, and automation systems is also beneficial. Prior work experience within the GCC region, particularly Saudi Arabia, will be a plus.
