Job Overview

The Head of Innovation and Digital Solutions will spearhead strategic leadership and oversee the digital transformation initiatives at Bupa Arabia. This role involves driving digital innovation and solution design to address business challenges creatively, collaborating across departments to deliver customer-focused products and services that enhance revenue and profitability. The successful candidate will nurture ideas from inception through piloting to full-scale implementation.

Key Responsibilities

This leadership role includes identifying emerging technologies and business trends to leverage strategic opportunities. The incumbent will conduct thorough technology and environmental scans to spot innovation possibilities and improve digital capabilities. Building and managing partnerships, alongside prioritizing a pipeline of quality initiatives, is essential.

Further responsibilities cover evaluating and prioritizing digital trends through prototypes, pilots, and product assessments. Developing innovation strategies with clear implementation plans and creating technology roadmaps also fall under this role.

The Head will oversee the adoption and scaling of digital innovations, ensuring new capabilities translate into business growth and operational improvements. Managing execution of partnerships, monitoring financial outcomes of digital transformation, and maintaining robust networks with FinTech and start-up communities are key elements.

Additionally, this position demands operationalizing and orchestrating digital processes with governance to deliver value in real time, incorporating advanced technologies such as AI and machine learning. Continuous innovation cycles require monitoring and refining capabilities to sustain competitive advantage.

The role includes leading project management aspects to ensure successful delivery of digital solutions using methodologies like Scrum and Agile, controlling project scope, risk, budgets, and stakeholder communication. It also involves people management responsibilities, including coaching, empowering teams, and driving change to achieve organizational goals.

Required Skills and Qualifications

• Minimum 10 years of experience in business development related to large-scale digital brands.
• Bachelor’s degree required; advanced degrees are preferred.
• Strong background in IT with extensive exposure to digital transformation projects and delivery of digital customer experiences.
• Experience managing business relationships and engaging senior leadership effectively.
• Proven skills in AI project design and delivery, RPA, data warehousing, and digital solutions across various domains.
• Expertise in digital project management, funnel management, and vendor relations on an international scale.
• Exceptional communicator with ability to inspire teams and engage executive audiences efficiently.
• Entrepreneurial mindset with a record of innovation and collaboration in complex multinational environments.
• Familiarity with best practices in digital strategy, change management, and maintaining a strong regional digital network.
