Job Overview

We are seeking a skilled Planning Engineer with expertise in MS Project to join a fast-paced Design & Build factory project based in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia. This full-time role requires managing and updating the master project schedule to ensure timely completion of key milestones, including site readiness within 10 months and full completion in 18 months. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in tracking progress, assessing delays, and supporting claims management throughout the project lifecycle.

Key Responsibilities

The Planning Engineer will be responsible for developing and maintaining a detailed, resource-loaded schedule that integrates all phases of the project—from design and procurement to construction and commissioning. In this role, you will regularly monitor progress against the baseline, prepare comprehensive weekly and monthly reports highlighting critical issues, and analyze the impact of any variations or delays on the overall timeline. Collaborating closely with project managers and site engineers, you will update schedules to reflect real-time progress and provide schedule-based documentation essential for progress payments, extensions of time, and delay evaluations. Active participation in project meetings to provide insights that inform decision-making is also expected.

Required Skills and Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or a related discipline
• Minimum of 5 to 8 years of experience as a Planning Engineer with at least 3 years working in Saudi Arabia
• Advanced proficiency in MS Project is essential; familiarity with Primavera P6 is an advantage
• Proven track record in planning for Design & Build or fast-track industrial projects
• Strong knowledge of construction sequencing, critical path method (CPM), and delay analysis techniques
• Ability to analyze detailed schedules and perform delay claims assessments
• Transferable iqama is mandatory
• Analytical mindset with high attention to detail and the capacity to handle pressure while meeting reporting deadlines

Work Environment

This role is based in Jeddah and involves work both on-site and at the project office. The candidate will be part of a collaborative project team dedicated to delivering a high-profile factory facility under tight deadlines.
