Key Responsibilities

The Mechanical Estimator will be responsible for reviewing project plans and specifications to develop comprehensive cost assessments. Your duties include interpreting technical drawings, leveraging estimation software, and preparing competitive bid proposals. Additionally, you will evaluate materials and equipment choices, assist in contract negotiations, conduct risk assessments with mitigation strategies, and monitor project budgets throughout the lifecycle.

Skills and Qualifications

The ideal candidate will hold a Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related discipline, with a proven track record of at least 5 years in mechanical estimating within the construction industry. Proficiency in estimation software and MS Office is essential, along with a solid understanding of mechanical systems and technical drawings. Strong analytical capabilities, excellent communication skills, and the ability to manage multiple deadlines efficiently are crucial.
