Job Overview

We are currently looking for an experienced Manual Lathe Machine Operator with a minimum of 10 years of practical experience. The successful candidate will have an in-depth understanding of lathe machine operations, tooling, and precision machining techniques to deliver high-quality results.

Key Responsibilities

• Set up and independently operate manual lathe machines to produce precision components.
• Interpret and analyze engineering drawings and blueprints to ensure accurate machining.
• Perform various machining tasks including turning, facing, threading, boring, knurling, and tapering.
• Select and adjust cutting tools, speeds, and feed rates based on material and job requirements.
• Measure and inspect finished parts using micrometers, vernier calipers, and other precision instruments.
• Maintain stringent tolerances and ensure surface finishes meet specifications.
• Identify and resolve machining problems efficiently to minimize downtime.
• Conduct routine maintenance and safety inspections for lathe machines.

Required Skills and Qualifications

• At least 10 years of hands-on experience as a manual lathe machine operator.
• Comprehensive knowledge of lathe machine parts, operations, and workplace safety protocols.
• Strong familiarity with metals and various machining processes.
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision, demonstrating strong attention to detail.
• Excellent commitment to quality and shop-floor discipline.
• Clear understanding of safety standards to maintain a secure work environment.
