Job Overview

We are seeking a skilled Civil Estimation Engineer to join our team in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia. The ideal candidate will be responsible for preparing detailed cost estimates, analyzing project plans, and ensuring accurate budgeting for construction projects. This role requires collaboration with multiple stakeholders to support successful project completion within budget and time constraints.

Key Responsibilities

As a Civil Estimation Engineer, you will be expected to:

• Review and interpret project plans and technical specifications to develop accurate cost estimates.
• Prepare comprehensive cost evaluations covering materials, labor, and equipment needs.
• Visit project sites to gather essential data and assess feasibility.
• Coordinate closely with architects, engineers, and project managers to align cost strategies.
• Identify risks and opportunities for cost savings during project planning.
• Utilize industry-standard estimating software and tools for precise calculations.
• Develop and submit competitive bid proposals to clients and stakeholders.
• Maintain an up-to-date database of construction material costs and labor rates.
• Ensure all estimates comply with local and international building codes and regulations.
• Evaluate subcontractor bids and assist in contract negotiations.
• Monitor ongoing project costs and revise estimates as needed to reflect changes.
• Provide continual cost advice throughout the project lifecycle.
• Participate actively in project meetings, offering insights on budget and cost management.

Required Skills and Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering.
• Minimum of 5 years’ experience in civil engineering estimation, tendering, or cost planning.
• Strong expertise in BOQ preparation, procurement processes, and cost analysis.
• Proficient with Revit, BIM, and other discipline-specific software, along with Microsoft Office tools.
• Excellent analytical, numerical, and problem-solving abilities.
• Deep understanding of construction methods, materials, and industry standards.
• Knowledge of both local Saudi and international building regulations.
• Exceptional communication and time management skills.
• Professional certifications such as Certified Professional Estimator (CPE) are highly desirable.

Additional Requirements

Applicants must hold a valid transferable Iqama for at least three months. Those with a technician profession on their Iqama should not apply. This position is not available to candidates requiring visa sponsorship.
