Job Overview

A reputable Real Estate Developer Firm is seeking a qualified Electrical Engineer with expertise in the Mechanical, Electrical, and Plumbing (MEP) sector for a high-rise development project located in Makkah, Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. This role demands comprehensive involvement in all electrical engineering phases, including design, load calculation, on-site execution, quality assurance, and final commissioning, adhering strictly to Saudi local standards and international best practices.

Key Responsibilities

The Electrical Engineer will be responsible for the following duties:

• Developing and reviewing detailed electrical designs, single-line diagrams, and layouts consistent with project specifications and Saudi Building Codes.
• Conducting precise electrical load calculations, short circuit analysis, voltage drop assessments, and cable sizing to ensure optimal system efficiency.
• Collaborating with design consultants and multidisciplinary teams to seamlessly integrate electrical systems within the overall MEP design framework.
• Supervising installation activities on-site, guaranteeing alignment with approved drawings, specifications, and established method statements.
• Performing regular quality assurance and control inspections to verify that materials, workmanship, and installation meet project and quality standards.
• Preparing and reviewing inspection test plans (ITPs) and method statements relevant to electrical works.
• Overseeing and participating in testing and commissioning processes for electrical systems, including low voltage distribution panels, lighting, small power, earthing, and extra-low voltage (ELV) systems.
• Coordinating with local authorities and regulatory agencies to ensure comprehensive compliance with KSA regulations.
• Generating progress reports, snag lists, and as-built documentation for project tracking and closure.
• Supporting health, safety, and environmental (HSE) compliance by promoting and enforcing safe electrical practices on site.

Required Skills and Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering from a recognized university.
• 3 to 7 years of practical experience in the MEP sector, preferably with exposure to projects within the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.
• Strong knowledge of the Saudi Building Code (SBC), Saudi Electricity Company (SEC) standards, and other relevant international and local codes.
• Demonstrated ability in electrical design, load calculations, site supervision, quality assurance and control, and testing & commissioning activities.
• Proficiency in electrical design software tools to support project deliverables.
• Excellent problem-solving skills with effective coordination abilities within multidisciplinary teams.
• Good command of the English language; Arabic language skills are an advantage.
• Ability to collaborate effectively in a team-oriented environment.
• Preference given to candidates of Indian nationality.

Compensation and Application Details

The selected candidate will receive a total monthly compensation package of SAR 8,000, inclusive of all allowances.
