Job Overview

We are seeking a skilled Data Engineer with a focus on artificial intelligence to join our team based in Jeddah. This position revolves around working with Saudi capital markets, including Tadawul Main Market and Nomu, to develop and maintain cutting-edge data solutions that support financial analytics and market insights.

Key Responsibilities

The successful candidate will be responsible for designing and managing scalable data pipelines leveraging Google Cloud Platform technologies such as Pub/Sub, Dataflow, Data Fusion, BigQuery, Bigtable, and Vertex AI. Building and optimizing ETL and ELT workflows using Python for both real-time and batch market data processing forms an essential part of the role. Additionally, using serverless solutions like Cloud Functions and Cloud Run to streamline data processing tasks will be required.

The role involves developing and deploying machine learning models focused on forecasting, trend analysis, and predictive analytics. Proficiency with frameworks such as TensorFlow, PyTorch, and scikit-learn is necessary. Candidates will also carry out feature engineering and data preprocessing through Vertex AI Workbench and Data Refinery.

Further duties include integrating third-party financial APIs, automating data ingestion pipelines, and creating insightful dashboards and reports using tools like Looker, Tableau, or Power BI. Upholding data quality, governance, and security standards by implementing Dataplex, Cloud Data Catalog, and IAM policies is critical. Finally, setting up monitoring, logging, and alert mechanisms across the Google Cloud infrastructure to ensure system reliability will be part of daily operations.

Required Skills and Qualifications

The ideal applicant should possess a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Artificial Intelligence, Finance, or a related discipline. A minimum of two years’ experience in data engineering or AI/ML engineering roles is essential.

Strong Python programming capabilities, including experience with Pandas, NumPy, and SQL, are required along with proven expertise in Google Cloud Platform services such as BigQuery, Dataflow, Pub/Sub, and Vertex AI. Familiarity with containerization and orchestration technologies like Docker and Kubernetes, alongside CI/CD pipelines, will be highly valued.

Excellent communication abilities and project management skills are necessary to collaborate effectively within teams. Experience working with Saudi capital markets or handling financial datasets will be considered an advantage.

Work Location and Availability

This is an on-site position requiring candidates to be located in Jeddah or willing to relocate independently. Immediate availability to join the team is preferred to meet project demands.
