Job Overview

We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Junior Accountant to join our Finance & Accounting team in Jeddah. This role offers a great opportunity to grow your career by supporting day-to-day accounting functions, ensuring accuracy in financial transactions, and assisting with monthly reporting and audits.

Key Responsibilities

• Accurately record daily financial transactions in the accounting system.
• Prepare and process sales and purchase invoices timely.
• Verify invoices, receipts, payments, and related supporting documents.
• Maintain accounts payable and accounts receivable records.
• Perform bank and cash reconciliations regularly.
• Assist in month-end closing and support financial report preparation.
• Organize and file accounting documents to maintain proper records.
• Monitor outstanding customer balances and support collection efforts.
• Process payments to suppliers and keep supplier data up to date.
• Manage petty cash and expense claims efficiently.
• Prepare journal entries along with necessary supporting schedules.
• Support VAT and other accounting documentation and reporting.
• Collaborate with senior accountants during audits and financial reviews.
• Ensure compliance with company policies and accounting regulations.
• Perform other accounting-related tasks as assigned by senior finance staff.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree or diploma in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• 1–2 years of practical experience in accounting roles.
• Solid understanding of basic accounting principles.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and familiarity with accounting software, preferably Zoho.
• Strong attention to detail and a high level of accuracy.
• Good organizational skills and ability to manage time effectively.
• Ability to work independently and collaborate well within a team.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience managing accounts payable and receivable processes.
• Knowledge of VAT regulations and basic tax accounting principles.
• Familiarity with ERP or other accounting systems is a plus.
• Capable of handling confidential financial information with professionalism.
