uniCare is seeking a skilled Medical Insurance Approval Executive to join our team in Dubai, UAE. This role plays a crucial part in facilitating insurance approvals to ensure smooth and timely patient care. If you have experience handling healthcare insurance processes within the UAE and a background in medical or healthcare fields, this opportunity is ideal.

Key Responsibilities

As a Medical Insurance Approval Executive, you will be responsible for coordinating and managing insurance approvals across various health insurance providers. Your daily tasks will involve:

• Processing pre-authorizations, eligibility checks, and follow-ups with insurance companies and TPAs.
• Working closely with healthcare providers, patients, and the billing/RCM team to secure necessary approvals.
• Handling modifications and resolving denials efficiently by reviewing medical necessity requirements.
• Utilizing insurer portals and electronic medical record (EMR) systems to track and manage approval statuses.
• Ensuring compliance with DHA and UAE payer guidelines, including network benefits, exclusions, copayments, deductibles, and approval limits.

Required Skills and Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in nursing, pharmacy, medicine, life sciences, healthcare administration, or a related discipline.
• 1-2 years of experience in healthcare insurance approval within the UAE market.
• Strong familiarity with major UAE insurers and TPAs such as Nextcare, NAS/Neuron, MedNet, Daman, Sukoon, and Al Madallah.
• Knowledge of medical coding standards including ICD-10-CM, CPT, and HCPCS; certifications like CPC, CCS, or CCA are preferred.
• Understanding of medical terminology and requirements for medical necessity in approvals.
• Proficient in using insurer portals, EMR, and hospital information systems for insurance processing.
• Good command of English; proficiency in regional languages will be considered an advantage.
• Basic skills in Microsoft Excel, email communication, and generating reports.
• Excellent verbal and written communication abilities for coordinating with multiple stakeholders.
